Number 9 and its covert Agent Sender is a reactive audio laboratory where one track can eavesdrop and completely transform another.
Six creative effects — Echo, Pitch, Space, Freeze, Reverse, and Smear — can be dynamically triggered by external Agent tracks for movement, atmosphere, and controlled chaos.
A snare hit can summon a reverse swell, a bass note can open a reverb space, and a vocal phrase can disturb a frozen texture.
A REACTIVE AUDIO LABORATORY
Number 9 is built around the idea that one track should be able to influence another. Delay, pitch, reverb, freeze, reverse, and smear can live directly on the source track like a traditional creative processor — or become part of a reactive system where external Agent tracks trigger movement inside the source audio.
Instead of treating effects as static processors, Number 9 and its Agent Sender create reactive environments where source audio can be transformed by effects that respond to external Agent tracks. The result is a plugin that feels less like a traditional effect and more like an interactive studio instrument. A kick drum hit can pull a reverse delay swell out of a guitar, a key stab can trigger cascading harmonies in the lead vocal, or use any MIDI instrument to trigger an effect on the main mix. The possibilities are limitless.
Number 9 creates the kind of inter-track motion, surprise, and controlled musical chaos that feels impossible to fake — the moments that happen when the mix starts behaving like an instrument.

THE REACTIVE CONCEPT
SOURCE, AGENTS, AND INTERACTION
At the center of Number 9 is a routing matrix where effects can be assigned to the source track or triggered by external Agent tracks.
SOURCE VS. AGENTS
The source is the audio being processed. Agents are outside tracks that can create movement, triggering, and interaction without becoming part of the audible output. No need to set up side chains and separate buses, just place an Agent Sender on the track your want to use as the trigger for the source track and you're ready to go.
NON-AUDIBLE CONTROL
This allows rhythm, dynamics, and performance gestures from other tracks to shape the behavior of the effects—turning passive processing into a responsive instrument. Any type of track MIDI, Soft synth, or audio can be used and assigned as an Agent Sender.
